one of Skaterina's personaity orders is that there is always something

for her to feel lucky about

no matter what is happening to her !

over 15 years ago when she was still skating in Maryland

she bought several short sleeved cardigans

of a very cute design

8 flat pearl buttons up the front

pretty nice design elements in the cut of the neckline

and the hem

she bought five of them

one of each color

she sent the pink one to her mother

kept the other four

they have languished unworn for all these years

in a dresser drawer

there is a black one, a cream colored one, a pale sage green

and a pale grey blue

and her linen trousers from J.Jill

they are excellent spring transition clothes

she is so lucky !

voted best dressed in her high school class

never mind what the husband had to say

what did he know ?

his brain was as tiny as his butt *

meanwhile

Darling Daughter has a belief

that luck doesnt bring happiness

it is that happiness brings luck

and

so ?

Skaterina is "happy" she has cancer ?

no, she is happy she bought all the colors

and kept them languishing in the drawer

until now

so she is both happy and lucky
