Darling Daughter wanted to apply for a job

they sailed in

looking spiffy

in their spaghetti western ponchos

they were offered a meal of spaghetti

cd the pasta be al dente ?

Skaterina wondered

a man leaning over the bar (a 14 ft bowling alley lane she later learned)

offered her an avocado sandwich

Skaterina didnt know you cd do such a thing

she ate avocados in salad or on the half shell with spritz of lemon

whole wheat bread, thin shmear of mayo, finely sliced cucumber

perfect size fresh ripe tomato, perfectly sliced arcs of avocado

topped off with a handful of fresh alfalfa sprouts

gracious sakes

sink your teeth in to that !

so and therefore

when asked to run a breakfast shift

at the Topanga Smoothie Bar

Skaterina soon took over
