KnitterMe

is giddy with relief

she was knitting a pair of socks with some yarn

from Colorado that was dyed and spun by a man

who used to work for FED EX

he quit his job to raise sheep, spin their fleece and dye it

KnitterMe bought several skeins at her local yarn shop (LYS)

now anyone who is a dyed in the wool knitter

(see what i did there ?  tee hee)

knows that she or he likes to know the source

of the yarn

who dyed it

who raised the sheep

even the gosh darn name of the sheep (in KnitterMe's case)

(she is a bit of an extreme afficianando)

well, the socks were becoming bigger than she thought

the son.out.law saw them and said

they will fit me !

yes

they will

they are a lovely tweed brown called Tumbleweed

the heel flaps and heel turns are a mix of colors

red yellow blue green

just exactly the same as the first yarn Kappy

ever used to weave squares on her weave.it loom !

Kappy calls it "FingerPaint" / smile and a wink

it was the first yarn she purchased from the LYS when it opened

in her town a few years go

which was sort of a miracle to have a yarn shop in a town devoted to

hiking biking river running climbing and so on In The Desert !

in the sock knitting relay the son.out.law socks are at the top of the queue

when she tells him this he says

he dreamt about them last night

aint that sweet ?
