Battling Cancer
one of the librarians said to Skaterina, I didnt know you were battleing cancer
Skaterina said, I'm not battling cancer / i embrace my tumors
yes, it was scary, but it seemed less scary to let go of the fear and not make decisions based on that fear.
so it is easy to see how cancer can be a challenge
a friend asks, now in what way is cancer a gift ?
~~~~~~
today the local newspaper has an obituary of a woman who has died after battleing cancer
yes, that was how her plight was described
we are sad for her / she lost the battle
we have no idea what kind of cancer she had / there are some 100 different kinds of cancer cells
no doubt that there are ones it is necessary to fight but we do not know which ones as ours are simply on the tongue and in the neck
tongue cancer was definitly a horror for Skaterina as she knew someone with cancer of the tongue who tried the wheat grass cure and when it didnt work she died a kind of grisly death / at least she was at home with family at the end
the family then asked Skaterina to go around the neighborhood and tell every one that M had passed on
this seemed a bit bizarre to Skaterina but she did as she was asked
one of the neighbors said How else would we know if you didnt come and tell us ?
for Skaterina it was an interesting way to get to know her mother's neighbors
Hello / Muriel died !
oh my big sigh
