Skaterina has the What If's
What If she had never eaten the Cheezit ?
(she only ate them once in a while / she even made them once / with the little hole pricked in the middle)
What If the tiny crumb had not stuck in her throat and she had not put her finger down there ?
What If she had not found the lump ?
Gone to the ER ? Gone to the Specialist ? Had the cat scan ? the biopsy ?
The lump would still be there but she would not know about it
Then what ?
It would grow or it would not ?
There is no way of knowing / she wishes she had remembered Henry Miller's essay on becoming 80 / he said if something goes wrong ignore it and it will go away
