summer camp 2 Kaki,the daughter
Josedale Farm was the perfect choice for Skaterina's
sometimes lonely only child who wanted to live on a farm
with other children, learn how to ride a horse,
spend the time in nature instead of New York City
Josedale was a working farm with over 500 acres in upstate New York
they raised Black Angus for meat and Holstein for dairy
they had a vegetable garden
they had two daughters who suggested a summer camp for city kids
with just the right number of children
so the girls cd live in the classic farmhouse
and the boys in a bunkhouse out back
there were enough horses for wonderful trail rides
plenty of calves for each camper to take care of one
there was a pond, fed by a creek that wandered by
and also went through the woods
a local farm lady came in to do the cooking
the big oval table in the dining room was enough
to seat everyone for meals
it was a glorious choice
what cd be better ?
nuffin !
Kaki the child loved it and went back summer after summer
so did most of the other campers
as time went by Kaki also went back to Josedale from California
and from Rome, Italy
her best friend in Rome went to camp one summer too
